Abrakadoodle Kids on Canvas art program offered through Lower Merion Township Recreation. Children explore painting with acrylics and other media in an encouraging, creative environment. Part of Lower Merion's seasonal recreation programming for youth.

Play-Well TEKnologies LEGO building and engineering program offered through Lower Merion Township Recreation. Children explore physics, engineering, and creative problem-solving through hands-on LEGO projects. Available in seasonal sessions.

Shining Knights Chess Club for kids offered through Lower Merion Township Recreation. Children learn chess strategy, critical thinking, and sportsmanship in a fun, welcoming environment. Available to beginners and experienced players alike.

HappyFeet and Soccer Shots youth soccer programs offered through Lower Merion Township Recreation. Age-appropriate soccer instruction for toddlers through early elementary age kids emphasizing fun, movement, and foundational soccer skills.

Half-hour creative movement and preschool dance classes for ages 3–5, limited to 10 students per class for personalized attention. Conveniently located for families from Bala Cynwyd, Ardmore, and the surrounding Main Line. No required fundraising; affordable costumes for recitals.

One-hour dance classes in ballet, jazz, tap, and hip-hop for ages 6 through adult, limited to 12 students per class. Serving the Main Line since 1988, with no student fees, no required fundraising, and free costume alterations for annual recitals.

Gymnastics and movement classes for babies through grade school at The Little Gym of Ardmore. Parent-child classes start at 10 months; pre-K gymnastics for ages 3-5; and grade-school levels. Also offers birthday parties and seasonal camps.

Drop-in paint-your-own pottery studio plus seasonal kids camps in Ardmore. Children create pottery, mosaics, and mixed media art. School-break and summer day camps available, capped at 16 campers for personalized attention.

Ballet, jazz, tap, and hip-hop dance classes for children ages 3 through adult at Main Line School of Music and Dance in Ardmore. Creative movement classes for ages 3-5; full dance program for ages 6+. Small class sizes (max 10 for preschool, 12 for older groups). Serving Bryn Mawr, Havertown, and Main Line families since 1988.

Private music lessons in piano, guitar, drums, voice, keyboard, bass, brass, woodwind, and strings at Main Line School of Music and Dance. Serving students of all ages since 1988 with in-person lessons at Ardmore location or in-home instruction. Over 4,000 students taught.

Live music classes for babies, toddlers, and pre-K children at the Music Training Center in Ardmore. Led by talented musician-educators, classes combine singing, instrument exploration, movement, and age-appropriate musical activities. Trial classes available. Spring 2026 registration now open.

Mommy-and-Me music enrichment program for toddlers and preschoolers at the Main Line School in Ardmore. Classes feature action songs, lullabies, seasonal chants, percussion instruments, and movement activities. A joyful, interactive introduction to music for young children and their caregivers.

Year-round youth programs including Soccer Shots, HappyFeet Soccer, Shining Knights Chess Club, Abrakadoodle Art Classes, Bricks 4 Kidz, Play-Well STEM, and Mad Science Workshops for children of all ages.

Dance classes for toddlers through teens including Creative Movement (ages 2.5–4), Dance Together caregiver class (ages 2–4), Primary and Pre-Professional Ballet, Theater Dance, and Contemporary Dance.

Creative movement and pre-ballet classes for young children at the Philadelphia Dance Academy's Ardmore location. Classes use music, props, and imagination. Programs include Dance Together, Creative Movement, and Pre-Ballet for ages 2–6.

Ballet, jazz, and tap dance classes for school-age children and teens at the Philadelphia Dance Academy Ardmore location. Primary program begins with Ballet 1 for ages 6–9. Fall and spring tap sessions also offered.

Annual summer day camp at the Ardmore Avenue Community Center. Children ages 6–12 participate in arts and crafts, games, group activities, and special events. One of the area's longest-running community programs.

Introductory Tang Soo Do karate for young children ages 3–6 at Main Line Karate in Ardmore. Develops coordination, balance, speed, physical fitness, and confidence through age-appropriate martial arts in small classes.
