Teen empowerment programs including Y Achievers and the 7th Grade Initiative, designed to help teens set and achieve goals while celebrating their creativity, passions, and talents. Focused on youth leadership and personal development.

Babysitting classes for adolescents at the Upper Main Line YMCA, teaching youth to be medically responsible, creative, and attentive babysitters. CPR and First Aid certification classes are also available.

Students learn about water systems through hands-on study of macroinvertebrates, water testing, stream erosion, and plant life using access to the Darby Creek. The Watershed Lab provides real-world environmental science experience in a natural setting.

Kids can learn about hawks and owls at the Raptor Center, where resident birds serve as educational ambassadors after being rescued from wildlife rehabilitation centers. An engaging way for children to appreciate birds of prey and wildlife conservation.

The YMCA offers tailored field trips and scout group activities at its Environmental and STEM Education Complex, including watershed exploration, stream ecology, and animal ambassador encounters. Groups can also inquire about overnight campouts and Zoo on Wheels outreach programs.
