4 months agoA delightful treat each time we visit. Local talent and convention access to the music and theater our family loves. This year's performances of the Nutcracker were just fabulous and our granddaughters have been talking about it ever since!

5 months agoMy 2 granddaughters and I were at the Sunday performance of the Nutcracker. We all loved it. We had great seats and were amazed at the talent of the dancers- so professional.

2 years agoA true gem! State of the art theatre. Fantastic plays, musicals, comedy, magic, etc. Also offers premier theater classes for kids to adults! Affordable prices. Free parking! Our tradition is to see the renowned Pennsylvania Academy of Ballet has enchanted children and families with its professional soloists and many of the region’s best dancers. Enjoy this family-friendly 90-minute production with intermission that is the perfect introduction to the classic holiday ballet for ages four and up. They also make it snow ❄️!

9 months agoFrom the opening well-coordinated sequence to the final snow falling from the ceiling, I and the entire audience were mesmerized by the solos, chorus, dancing, set/design/props/costumes and over-all Broadway worthy talent on stage. Whoever designed the two beloved character's costumes - Olaf and Sven - deserves special recognition, as do the two students acting in their roles. After a while, we all believed the reindeer was real and a special cooling system prevented the snowman from melting. Rarely does every ensemble in a musical production have an equal number of strong singers and dancers; however the townspeople, castle staff, snow ballerinas, Oaken’s Family, and the Hidden Folk demonstrated amazingly equal talent. I heard the audience gasp when adult Elsa finally accepts who she is by throwing off her blue cape revealing a beautiful sparkling white gown, powerfully singing, Let It Go! Perhaps, the most touching experience was going outside after the show, being enthusiastically greeted and thanked by the entire cast. Even the box office students, ticket collectors and guides radiated exuberance and joy. The real strength of FROZEN, (including Summer Stage and Shooting Stars), lies in the reflection of the community’s diverse population. All children working, singing and dancing together, enjoying each other’s company, making lasting friendships is a reminder peace is possible. What could be more valuable to the community than Upper Darby Summer Stage celebrating 50 magical seasons this summer? I will tell you – 50 more magical seasons. I pray the magic continues every year!

7 years agoWe went here for a school trip for my son to see a play. It's quite large, easy to access, though parking was limited for large vehicles. The sound system was adequate but I'm not sure how it would fair with a large band. Seating was plentiful and the high stadium arrangement meant all the seats were good.
