6 months agoThis place is amazing for a family day out during the fall weather. There’s plenty of places to eat, they have amazing ice cream for such a reasonable price, they have pony and horse rides, face painting and so much more. There’s a lot of seating areas too and a nice playground. There’s so many parking spaces as well!

6 months agoI was really impressed by Highland. Amazing warm apple cider donuts and pretty decent prices for everything. Went on a Saturday and even though it was a pretty big crowd, I barely waited in lines which was helpful with my toddler. Well staffed and everyone was nice! Had a ton to do for my one year old - train ride, pony ride, feeding goats, apple picking, playground- lots to do. We considered going to Linvilla but chose not to because of what I’ve seen about them not taking care of their animals well enough. The goats and chickens we saw looked very healthy and liked the kids! We were able to cram so much in just a couple of hours because of it being so organized and well staffed. Parking was free too.

6 months agoI love Highland Orchards! Their market has great dressings, jams, and pickled goods. I love the pop up beer gardens! The bands are great and there’s always plenty of space to hang out. Don’t forget quarters to feed the goats!

6 months agoMy sincerest apologies to Highland Orchards and the wonderful people in the "Googleverse" who follows my reviews (❤️🤗 - my reviews bringing new fun opportunities into y'all's lives it's just the best)...I truly do not know what happened to the elaborate review I wrote following my visit last October; but it has disappeared, along with all but two of the images I posted 😟🥺 Bellow please find a brief synopsis of my raving review from last year🎃. A thorough update and many photos are forthcoming, as DD & I are going to Highland Orchards this weekend. Thank you, Beth, for the of generosity of your time on the phone today, explaining in fastidious detail, everything that Highland Orchards has to offer on the weekends and how to manage my expectations with crowds, expenses, etcetera. Last year, DD and I went during the week, so this will be our first time enjoying Highland Orchard's: •5 acre corn mazes •apple picking •face painting (for DD) • wine by the glass from a local Vineyard (for me) ...and much more! Amazon is delivering our matching outfits today, so Highland Orchards, see ya Sunday! 😁 🎃MINI RECAP OF MY 2024 REVIEW: Lil background: as a single mom, I make a conscious choice and fervent effort each holiday to do as many festive activities with DD as possible. Special mother-daughter time, always in fabulous matching outfits ( ex. We have matching silver Sam puffer coats & glitter cowgirl boots), will fill her heart with memories to last a lifetime, unlike toys which for which interest will last a mere few months. Fell in ❤️❤️❤️ with Highland Orchards this Halloween season! TBH, when a friend recommended it, I was entirely unfamiliar. When I was a lil girl, EVERYBODY did their pumpkin picking, corn mazing, etcetera at another another orchard ( if you're from the Philadelphia area, you will surely know of it). As an mom, I'd been taking DD to my childhood orchard since she was 2 bc it was all I knew. And, every year, it seems I became more and more disenchanted. You could not go to the patches and pick pumpkins. The pre-picked pumpkins were so expensive and unhealthy. For activities like the straw maze, face painting, and the petting zoo, it was obvious how much they were overcharging, but it was worth it for DD to have those memories. However, it was the last straw when the staff became less than congenial. BOTD for staff: post COVID is not a World for family businesses, especially if patrons must get dressed, leave the house & the devices to literally get their hands dirty. I can't imagine the frustration of those employees; but, that their IDGAF attitude was palpable made the experience no longer worth the $$$. It was in venting to a friend of mine, an amazing girl dad, that I learned of Highland Orchards. 😁😁😁 It is everything I remember from my childhood at the other orchard, reasonably priced with a very friendly staff, an abundance of fresh from the field pumpkins, gorgeous mums that, last year, withstood the whole winter, and a charming farmers market ( one of the girls working there let DD sample every flavor of their local honey!) - that's the warm-n-fuzzies I think is one of the best parts of going to a farm and doing all this picking and getting dirty etc (I'm a glamper, not a camper and I get my hands dirty in a 6x6 backyard garden). Being treated with old fashioned good heartedness, overflowing kindness, and a general sense that you are welcome was something I embraced living down south; in the metropolitan mid-atlantic, it's something special and you won't find it everyday. Losing that sentiment is what brought me to Highland Orchards and they have it in spades (TBH, they have it in kings, queens and aces too😉). 2025 UPDATE 1st visit on the weekend, so DD and I could do Highland Acre'a 5-acre corn maze. Their theme this year is "Celebrating Pennsylvania." Omgoooodness - so much fun! Tricky, with lots of circles and choice of path. See pics of maze map, and note all the PA all the PA pride. Also, enjoyed trying pumpkin wine from Highland Ridge Winery & pumpkin Kettle corn .

a year agoWonderful experience. I picked Highland Orchards because of its proximity to my home. When my family and I arrived we were all pleasantly surprised at all the other fun activities that were available. We enjoyed a leisure hay ride, picked some apples, took photos in the sunflower field (those are NOT for picking, just for photos), and enjoyed all of the vendors there. We did some axe throwing, and had a pumpkin funnel cake that was DELICIOUS!! Overall, a great time. Parking was also good (we went on a Sunday).
