One star is one star too many. I drove up to see the school from the outside, as a person who lives in the area and is checking into different schools for my daughter and step daughter. As we approached the school campus which did not offer any private drive signs an SUV was coming down the hill and immediately slammed on the brakes and threw the car in reverse. Rather than ask what we were doing she instantly began shouting from her window that this is a closed campus and we should leave. If she was a staff member she would've handed us a card or given us instructions on who to go to for a tour....however this lady judged us based on the jeans, tee shirts and vstar we rode up on. If those are the kind of people responsible for the future of those children...I'd prefer not to turn ours into judgemental, pretentious snobs.

I can't say enough good things about Grier Summer! My daughter was a day camper for the theater intensive session in 2014, at the end of which they put on Dear Edwina. From a production standpoint, it was absolutely amazing that in 3 short weeks the girls could be taught to dance and sing and act as well as they did -- Ginger is a truly gifted director! In addition, the remaining camp activities were kept my daughter busy and entertained, with her favorite being archery. Finally, the whole atmosphere was warm and welcoming, from the other campers, to the camp counselors, to the administrators. My daughter cannot wait to go next year -- in fact, we are planning our family vacation around camp -- and we all cannot wait to see the next production. Thanks for everything, Grier!

This review is from a happy parent and a happy camper! As I sat down to write this, I asked my 12 year old daughter what she liked best about her Grier camp experience. She said everything--the activities, the new friends, the food, the pool, the counselors, the trips to Bald Eagle Lake and DelGrosso's amusement park, art classes, and even doing her laundry. (Laundry? I'll never figure that one out!) She made new friends from all over the world and has kept in touch with them. My daughter did not participate in the intensive programs for dance, theatre, or riding but there were plenty of other activities to choose from. I was extremely impressed with the art offerings and the camper art show on the last day. The performance by the musical theatre intensive campers was amazing. I could not believe how polished and professional the girls were after just three weeks. We are already looking forward to 2015!

My daughter has been going to Grier Summer Camp for the past 4 years and she loves it. All of the activities that she participates in are top notch. The instructors are great and the facilities are beautiful. Many of the friends that she's made have come back year after year; certainly a positive testament to the experience. Her favorite activities are the horseback riding and the acting/theatre, but all activities at the camp are equally well done. I have no reservations about recommending Grier Summer Camp to any girl that is looking for a great way to enjoy her summer vacation.

As a parent, I can say that your daughter will fall in love with Grier Summer! My 11 year old talks about the friends she made this year and can't wait to return again next year. There were tears when it was time to come home (a sure sign that she enjoyed herself!) As an instructor, I can say that the events and classes the teachers plan are so varied, there will definitely be something for your daughter to delve into. Teachers offer topics such as astronomy, mythology, crafting, photography, painting, and various sports just to name a few. My daughter loved all of the classes she attended (it was hard for her to choose just a few). Grier Summer Rocks!!!
