Rain on a Saturday morning is a Main Line parent's problem to solve. Once you've exhausted the inside-the-house options, there's a surprisingly good indoor kids programming landscape out there: library events, STEM clubs, makerspace programs, and enrichment classes that can fill a morning or afternoon with something genuinely worthwhile.

Library Programs: Free, Drop-In, and Actually Good
The public libraries on the Main Line punch well above their weight for kids programming. Story times, STEM clubs, book clubs, craft programs, and maker activities are regularly scheduled at most branches. Many require no registration and no fee.
Wayne Public Library has the deepest programming roster of any Main Line library branch. Their LEGO Lab is a favorite. Kids design and build with the library's collection in an open-ended engineering challenge format. They also run Math Fun with Arin, a hands-on math exploration program for elementary-age kids that's genuinely more engaging than it sounds.
