Went there with the family this weekend and it was absolutely gorgeous. Everyone was super friendly and fun! It was fairytale day at the farmstead and our toddler loved it!

Great afternoon visiting the farmstead. It’s amazing how families lived hundreds of years ago and how they sustained their families on the farm. Great place to learn more from the historical educators and volunteers who work here as well as see the activities, cooking, gardening and animals. It is a hike so people who aren’t able to walk rocky terrain may not be able to visit. Worth a visit to see the appreciation for history and when times were not modernized.

The Colonial Pennsylvania Plantation has been a working farm for over 300 years. The farm, which has been restored to a late 18th century appearance, is open weekends from April to November and charges an admission fee. Use lot 4 for parking and the use of a small number of picnic tables.

This is a lovely place. We came here once for an Easter egg hunt and this time we came to a story book program about how a short was made. The teachers and volunteers knew their subjects and we all learned many things. The kids loved meeting the farm animals making candles and cornhusker dolls, seeing the gardens and seeing the well and spring house.
